Centrally located on the Eastern Shore, Virginia is the center
of our nations history. America began here, with the first English
settlement at Jamestown in the early seventeenth century. Colonial
life of the 1700’s included a large role for a bustling
town called Williamsburg. Virginians fought in the American
Revolution. By the time of the Civil War Richmond had become
a major city.
Virginia is rich in history and the perfect locale for rest
and relaxation. Famous for lush golf courses, hunting and abundant
fishing holes, Virginia is a sportsman’s paradise. Offering
battlefields, museums and restored homes and villages from a
different time, Virginia is a history buffs dream come true.
Boasting malls, factory outlets, antique shops by the hundreds,
and specialty shops innumerable, Virginia is a shopper’s
delight. Water parks, amusement parks, as well as State & National
Parks make Virginia ideal for the kid in all of us. From beach-combers
to mountain climbers, Virginia has a little something for everyone.
