The Manufacturing Game & RCI's PROACT® methodology
together provide the opportunity to recognize
that defects are coming into the system from multiple sources
and only by working cross functionally to discover root cause
and then eliminating those defects can an organization have
sustainable improvement.
The Manufacturing Game®:
The Manufacturing Game® is a strategic simulation of a manufacturing
plant. It is a powerful tool for teaching the
principles of Systems Thinking, High Commitment & High Performing Teams,
planning, and defect elimination in a total quality
environment. The Manufacturing Game demonstrates
how to move a reactive organization to a proactive
one by identifying how defects enter our systems.
RCI's PROACT® Root Cause Analysis
Methodology:
Teaches you how to take the identified defects
and drill down to uncover their root causes.
This is done using the PROACT® RCA methodology which shows
you how to; PReserve the hard facts, Order the
Analysis Team, Analyze the event to pinpoint the root causes,
Communicate recommendations to eliminate the problem and
Track the progress of the implemented recommendations
for their bottom line impacts.
Upon completion participants will gain a personal understanding
of how the Manufacturing Game system works and
the impact of defects. They will attain a vision
of what is possible as they discover and remedy root causes of
defects through the PROACT® methodology.

"For a total investment of $5,000 an action team was able
to eliminate $1.5 million per year in operating
losses. This loss could have been eliminated
years ago but for many reasons continued. It took a new way of
thinking, based on The Manufacturing Game® Workshops, to
release the creative energy to take action."
Paul Monus
BP, Sr. Project Manager
"After playing the game myself, I saw this as a powerful
tool to help change the way we think and act about our business."
Brian Johnson
Alyeska Pipeline Service Company
