ANSWERS:

1) What are the main differences between PROACT® V2 and PROACT® V3?

  1. Ability to search RCA database of published analyses for answers to "HOW CAN?" questions within the Logic Tree - Knowledge Sharing

  2. Compressed Logic Tree structure so that trees are not near as wide and minimal white space

  3. "Scale-To-Fit" printing of Logic Tree

  4. "Grab" feature allows the tree to be moved much more easily when presenting to management

  5. Integration with LEAP FMEA /Opportunity Analysis software

  6. Capturing of man-hours and related RCA expenses to create ROI information for analyses

  7. ANALYSIS-AT-A-GLANCE reports for management to oversee the status of analyses

  8. Ability to contrast PROCESS FLOW DIAGRAMS between what was designed, what actually occurred and what the modified process will look like

  9. Development of a dynamic RCA Knowledge Base that will allow the others in the company to benefit from past analyses, so that they will not have to solve the same event over and over again

  10. Complete re-write has allowed the development of a much more intuitive and efficient program

2) Can I convert my data from PROACT® V2?

Yes, a conversion routine will be made available to current PROACT® V2 users to convert their databases to the new PROACT® V3 format.

3) Will LEAP be included in PROACT® V3?

The new package will be referred to as the PROACT® Suite. This Suite will contain both the LEAP and PROACT® RCA programs. Only the programs purchased will be activated.

4) What is LEAP?

LEAP is the name of the software we have developed to model our Modified FMEA approach. It is capable of conducting basic FMEA's using probabilistic data as well as Opportunity Analyses using historical data. The Opportunity Analysis format models our Modified FMEA approach taught in our courses.

5) What platforms are available?

The PROACT® Suite can be purchased in Desktop and Enterprise (Oracle, SQL and CITRIX) models. For detailed technical specifications please visit our system requirements page.

6) Is training available for The PROACT® Suite?

Yes, software training is available on these programs either at RCI or on-site. Training in RCI's RCA Methods is highly recommended as well. Without RCA training, it would be like having copy of Microsoft WORD and not know how to construct a sentence! The PROACT® Suite only models an investigative methodology. This fundamental understanding of the investigative makes using the software easier.

7) If I am a current PROACT® V2 Enterprise licensee, will I get the new version of PROACT®?

Current PROACT® Enterprise Licensees who are in good standing with their Maintenance Agreements are entitled to the new version of PROACT® RCA V3. This will not include the LEAP module, as this requires a separate license.

8) Will PROACT V2 continue to be supported?

PROACT® V2 will continue to be supported for one year from the release date of PROACT® V3. We encourage all current PROACT® RCA users to upgrade and take advantage of the considerable feature enhancements in the newest versions.
